Identification Tips

1.  Galena is very soft. It will rub-off on your fingers and leave grey marks when rubbed on paper
2.  Galena is very dense and will feel weighty when you pick it up.
3.  Galena will not attract a magnet.
4.  Galena has perfect cubic cleavage.
5.  Freshly-broken cleavage surfaces have a very bright silvery-metallic color.
